ED Provides Guidance on Repurposing Previously Spent HEERF Grant Funds
June 30, 2022 - Updated FAQs from the Department of Education state that beginning on or after March 15, 2022, institutions may repurpose previously spent HEERF(a)(2) grant funds to unobligated (a)(1) institutional grants.
New Indiana Sales Tax Rules for Nonprofits and Churches Go Into Effect on July 1
June 16, 2022 - Indiana is changing the circumstances under which nonprofit organizations, including churches, are exempt from collecting sales tax. The new rules are effective July 1, 2022.
IRS Raises Standard Mileage Rate for Second Half of 2022
June 10, 2022 - Effective July 1, 2022, the standard mileage rate for business travel will increase by four cents per mile, to 62.5 cents per mile.
