Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Updates

print
On April 4, 2022, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) announced that the performance period for all open Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) grants with a balance of more than $1,000 has been extended through June 30, 2023.

HEERF III funds were originally required to be expended and drawn down within 12 months of the notification of the award.

In addition, the HEERF reporting portal for funds spent between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, is currently open. The final report is due no later than May 6, 2022. This is also an opportunity for institutions to make corrections to the first annual HEERF reporting, if necessary.

More information about HEERF is available on the ED Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund page.
