Church and Denomination Expertise

CapinCrouse was founded with the mission to empower churches and other not-for-profit organizations whose outcomes are measured in lives changed. Over the past five decades, we’ve had the opportunity to partner with churches and denominations and assist them in expanding their ministries using sound accounting and tax principles.

First-hand Experience

Accounting for churches and ministries requires specialized knowledge. The extensive number of church clients with which we work allows us to continually learn and share our expertise with ministries. We serve more than 500 churches from coast to coast, ranging from small startup ministries to churches with assets in excess of $375 million and multiple business segments.

Specialized Training

Staff entering the firm receive training specifically designed to familiarize them with the unique issues of churches. This training, coupled with on-the-job training exclusively with not-for-profit organizations, quickly equips our staff with the competencies necessary to perform audits and reviews of churches and other nonprofit organizations.

In addition, many of our staff serve in various capacities in their own churches, and several of our partners are ordained ministers with first-hand knowledge of the challenges of operating a ministry effectively.

Industry Involvement

We are dedicated to serving the church and denomination community. Our involvement includes:

  • Hosting specialized seminars for ministries throughout the year
  • Actively participating in The Church Network, XPastor, ECFA Churches, Leadership Network, and Denominational Investor & Loan Administrator (DILA) events
  • Publishing articles in several national church and Christian publications
