Webcast for Nonprofits: Clean Energy Credits for Nonprofit Organizations
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2021 created a pathway for nonprofit organizations to claim various tax credits. These credits, which used to be unavailable to nonprofit organizations, can be used to recoup costs for certain capital projects or investments in clean energy production. However, while the credits can be very significant, they have requirements and enhancements that are important for nonprofits to understand, no matter where they are in the decision-making process. This webcast will provide nonprofits with introductory knowledge on these credits and a roadmap for how organizations can think through the potential benefits of pursuing them.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze whether your organization should begin a capital project that could be eligible for one or more of the clean energy credits
- Identify the requirements and enhancements for the various clean energy credits
