- FSA Electronic Announcement GE-24-07, Draft NSLDS FVT/GE Completers List Now Available (Updated Aug. 8, 2024) – This announcement gives an update on the resolution of an issue with the Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) Completers Lists and notes that the lists have been resent to institutions’ Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) mailboxes.
- FSA Electronic Announcement CB-24-16, Information and Reporting Reminders for the Fiscal Operations Report for 2023–24 and Application to Participate for 2025–26 (FISAP) – The Fiscal Operations Report for 2023–24 and Application to Participate for 2025–26 (FISAP) is now available on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) It is due by October 1, 2024. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Simplification Announcements
- FSA Electronic Announcement GENERAL-24-99, 2025-26 FAFSA Processing Timeline Update – This announcement provides institutions, states, and vendors with an update on the processing of 2025-26 FAFSA forms.
- FSA Electronic Announcement GENERAL-24-96, Update on Batch Corrections for Institutions via the Electronic Data Exchange, Flexibilities, and Additional Support for the 2024-25 FAFSA Cycle – This announcement provides a status update on the items mentioned in the title.
- ED Provides Additional 2024-25 FAFSA Updates on Paper Processing, Identity Validation, and Extension of Flexibilities – This National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) article highlights key S. Department of Education (ED) updates on the 2024-25 FAFSA. This includes information about the extension of flexibilities to assist with the added burdens associated with the current FAFSA cycle.
- FSA Electronic Announcement GENERAL-24-71, Resolving Conflicting Information (Updated August 1, 2024) – This announcement clarifies several instances when institutions are required to identify and resolve conflicting information and discrepant data that would affect a student’s eligibility for Title IV funds, especially pertaining to the 2024-25 award year and FAFSA processing year.
- ED Announces Plans for a ‘Phased Rollout’ of the Upcoming 2025-26 FAFSA – As outlined in this NASFAA article, on August 7, 2024, ED provided more details about the upcoming launch of the 2025-26 FAFSA. On October 1, 2024, ED will begin a “phased rollout” of the form to a limited set of students and institutions for testing. ED will make the form available to all students by December 1, 2024.

- FSA Electronic Announcement ANN-24-15 Online Training Course – Completing the 2025–26 FISAP – This is a new online, self-paced training course to assist with completing the FISAP for 2023–24 and the Application to Participate for 2025–26.
- FSA Electronic Announcement ANN-24-13, Training Workshops – 2024-25 FSA Fundamentals Training Series – This letter announces the launch of Federal Student Aid’s 2024–25 FSA Fundamentals Training Series. The series consists of the FSA Fundamentals Online Course and the FSA Fundamentals Virtual Workshop, an instructor-led, online class scheduled for October 2024 through June 2025.
- FSA Electronic Announcement GENERAL-24-105, Availability of FAFSA Partner Portal Training Resource – Information about a new FSA training resource that addresses common questions and answers about FAFSA Partner Portal corrections. Beginning with the 2024–25 application cycle, the FAFSA Partner Portal replaces FAA Access to CPS Online. For 2023–24 student information, visit faaAccess.ed.gov.
