Webinar for Higher Education: Important GLBA Updates, Part 1
The deadline for compliance with the updates to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) is nearing, with a due date for full compliance in June 2023. In part one of this two-part series, we’ll examine why GLBA is important for higher education institutions and why it is more than just a compliance issue.
We’ll review the requirement to develop an information security program based on an assessment of risks to your students’ personal information. We will also discuss what that assessment can look like at your institution and explain the responsibility requirements to ensure you select the best individual to oversee the implementation of your program.

- Identify various components of the GLBA and highlight updates from the past year
- Examine how to implement those components within your institution
- Apply recommendations at your institution
